Follow the bees

The Hive is a sanctuary built on a simple idea: that the bees know something we have forgotten. Let go of the hurry you arrived with, and their rhythm begins to set yours.

Trust what they have been doing for a hundred million years. Breathe the air of a living colony. Heal at the pace that sets.

Everything here is rooted in the Eupepsia philosophy, and every program passes through the gate of Ayurvedic knowledge, shaped to the bio-individuality of the person in front of us.

We work for them first

Our beekeeping is natural and treatment-free, practiced in accordance with bee biology and in deep respect for the bees' own instincts. We don't put the bees to work for us. We follow them. We set them free.

Cared for that way, they give back the purest and most potent products of the hive. For guests who want to go further, our workshops in apitherapy and medicinal beekeeping open the door into that world.

Time spent in their company

Spend your days in the bee botanical garden. Sit on a bench and tune into the meditative hum of a colony, or let a yoga nidra session be made for you in the quiet of the restorative cabin.

And after a day of therapies drawn from the hive, sleep in a dome bedroom with the gentle pulse of a bee colony safely set within the wall, breathing air that carries the warm, floral scent of honey, beeswax and propolis.

There is a world here that the eye usually passes over. Quiet the mind, slow your attention, and it comes into focus.

The gifts of the hive

The bees are remarkable creatures, and generous ones.

Across our apitherapies you will find the full spectrum: relaxing, detoxing, invigorating, balancing, restoring. Taste the purest products of our own natural beekeeping, or a curated selection from some of the world's finest beekeepers: honey, propolis, bee pollen, bee bread and royal jelly.

Each blend is prepared for the person it is meant for, and your practitioner will show you how it serves your own journey.

Your stay

Sleeping inside the hive's rhythm

Rest in a dome-shaped bedroom with a view that holds nothing but the quiet of the surrounding land. Let the gentle pulse of your room's own hive settle around you as you breathe its distinctive blend of warm, floral aromas: honey, beeswax, propolis. Here, the hive becomes part of the rhythm of your stay.

Safety, in plain words.

The bees remain securely and safely separated from guest accommodation at all times. Apitherapy and bee products are not suitable for everyone, particularly anyone with a bee or bee-product allergy. Our team will help you decide which experiences are right for you, before you arrive.

Every program begins with a health and wellness consultation. From there we bring apitherapy together with the restorative treatments, nourishing food, movement, workshops and time in nature that suit you, woven into days that feel personal rather than scheduled.

What is apitherapy

An old practice, carefully kept

For thousands of years, cultures around the world have treasured what comes out of a beehive for nourishment and wellbeing. Apitherapy is the traditional use of those products, and of the hive environment itself, in support of health.

At The Hive we bring that tradition into a considered wellness setting, alongside personal programs, restorative therapies, good food, movement, rest and long days outdoors.

Raw honey. Pure and unprocessed, valued for its nutritional qualities and used traditionally to soothe and restore. In massage, it is also used as a deeply cleansing treatment.

Propolis. The resinous substance bees make to protect their hive, long prized in apitherapy traditions as the colony's own defense.

Bee pollen and bee bread. Nutrient-rich foods gathered and prepared by the bees, carrying proteins, vitamins, minerals and an extraordinary diversity of plant compounds.

Royal jelly. The exceptional food worker bees make to nourish their queen, traditionally valued as a restorative.

Beeswax. A beautiful natural material used in warming treatments and skin applications.

Beehive air. The warmth, aroma, gentle vibration and sound around a living colony, experienced as one of the most restful ways into the hive.
